IHR Life Sciences is the life sciences search practice of IHR Group, an international recruitment business founded in Poland in 2013. We have spent over a decade placing professionals across borders, first in healthcare and now in pharma, biotech and medical devices.
We recruit regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, clinical operations, quality and medical affairs professionals for companies across the UK, Ireland, Poland, Italy and the rest of Europe.

Chris Bailey
Founder, IHR Group
Chris founded IHR Group in 2013 and has spent nearly 20 years in international recruitment, placing professionals across the UK, Europe and further afield. He handles the client side of every life sciences search: initial briefings, search updates, offer negotiations and the conversations that keep a process moving. If you brief us on a role, Chris is the person you will hear from first.
Marta Bailey
Sourcing and Candidate Management
Marta runs the sourcing, screening and candidate management side of every search, the part that decides whether you see the right three people or the wrong thirty. She works in English, Polish and Italian, which means candidates across Europe get a proper conversation in their own language, not a LinkedIn message they will ignore.
Between them, they have placed professionals across more than a dozen countries and built long-term relationships with hospital networks, pharmaceutical companies and medical device firms.
How we work
The same two people run each search from the brief to the start date, so you deal with the people actually doing the work.
Most of the people worth hiring aren’t looking, so we approach them directly and in confidence.
You get a short shortlist, usually three or four candidates, each interviewed and referenced by us.
If we don’t think we can fill a role well, we will tell you at the outset rather than waste your time.
Languages
We work in English, Polish and Italian, so we can approach candidates across the UK, Ireland, Poland, Italy and the rest of Europe in the language they are most comfortable in. In life sciences, where regulatory and safety terminology is precise, that makes a real difference to the quality of our screening.
Confidentiality
Clients can brief us in confidence. If you are replacing someone still in post, or the hire signals something about your plans that you are not ready to share, we can run the entire search without naming your company until a candidate reaches interview stage.
Candidates are never put forward without their explicit agreement. We do not send resumes in bulk, and we do not share anyone’s details without talking to them first.
